Stand in the gate of the Lord's house and proclaim there this word. Jer.7:2. We find in the Bible, teachings concerning different gates. Gate is an opening for passage. A gate is an important part of a city. A gate gives the only passage through a wall. God gave a commandment to Jeremiah, to stand in the entrance or gate of the Lord's house and declare the word of God. Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate. Prov.24:7. It is time for the ministers of God to cry out within the gates of God, against evil and all manner of sin and to declare the truth and righteousness of God. It is a fool who keeps silent.

Often gates were protected by a strong tower. Solomon declared, the name of the Lord is a strong tower: and the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. The name of Jesus is our protection at this gate of the Lord's house. When Jacob had the wonderful dream and saw the ladder that reached from earth to heaven, the angels of God ascending and descending on it, and the Lord God stood above it, there God promised him many blessings. Jacob awoke, and declared, This is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. The true teachings of God's house and obedience will give entrance to heaven.

Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Strait means narrow or restricted. You are limited at the entrance; assigned or within certain limits. God's way has boundaries and if we over step them.,then we are not on God's territory. Of ten cases were brought to the gates, were tried there and judgements pronounced. This is still true today in God's house.

There were gates connected with mansions on earth, because Lazarus lay at the rich man's gate. God has promised the gates to our mansions shall be carbuncle. Carbuncle is a precious stone of red color. This promise is to those that are tossed and drive. Put God said, there shall in no wise, enter into that city, anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh or maketh a lie. Trinity is man made. It is a lie, but also a universal belief, but it will never enter into the city of God. No unclean thing will enter there.

Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth truth may enter in. Isa.26:2. These twelve gates are twelve pearls. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. This is such a wonderful promise. Let us strive daily to enter, on that blessed day.
