JESUS WAS GOD IN THE FLESH
Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel which being interpreted is, God with us. (Mat. 1:23 - Isa. 7:14)
Either Jesus is God or he isn't! If He is God then He is the "only God" because it is written ..."Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any." (Isa. 44:8) The ONE God of the Bible is a jealous God (Exo. 20:5 - Exo. 34:14 - Deut. 4:24) and He said, "...my glory will I not give to another ..."(Isa. 42:8) If Jesus isn't God, then we insist that is sinful to worship Him! It it written, Thou shalt worship the LORD THY GOD and him ONLY shalt thou serve. (Mat. 4:10) The "Lord God" is the ONE and ONLY person worthy of worship! We are giving 10 plain verses in the New Testament that states that Jesus was worshiped! (Mat. 9:18 - Mat. 15:25 - Mat. 14:33 - Mat. 28:9 - Mat. 2:11 - Mat. 8:2 - Mat 28:17 - Luke 24:52 - Mark 5:6 - John 9:38)
If Jesus is the second person in the Trinity as many teach, if He is separate and distinct from the Father and the Holy Ghost . . . We contend that the Father can be worshiped and the other two (if there were two) could not be worshiped! If the Father, Son and Holy Ghost be three distinct persons as the Trinity doctrine contends, then I say on the authority of (Mat. 4:10) that it is sinful to give worship to the Son or the Holy Ghost as we are strictly commanded to worship ONLY the Lord God! Then we must conclude that the 10 verses given above where Jesus was worshiped shows plainly that they in this act actually sinned against the Lord God.
Jesus is the Almighty (Rev. 1:8). Jesus is the Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace. (Isa. 9:6) Jesus is not ONE of the three Gods as taught by the "Trinity" doctrine! He is the true God and eternal life (1st John 5:20). Jesus is very God and is said to be the Lord of glory (1st Cor. 2:8 - 1st Cor. 15:47). We contend that the disciples were not in error when they worshiped the Lord Jesus but definitely in the will of the Lord! The text states that Jesus was "God with us" and Thomas recognized Him accordingly when he acknowledged Jesus to be "My Lord and my God." (John 20:28) If Jesus was not "Lord and God" as stated here, I make no apology in saying that He was the greatest deceiver to ever live or He would have rebuked Thomas in His error and set him right! On the contrary He commended Thomas for his statement and further stated, ". . .blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." (Ver. 29) This means you as you read these lines if you will believe Jesus to be your Lord and God.
Many will say, "How could Jesus be God the Father when He often spoke of His Father in heaven?" Where ever you live today you know that God is there! This doesn't mean that a "separate" God is in each State, City or Community! This means that ONE god (Spirit) is great enough (God is Spirit, John 4:24) to be EVERYWHERE at the same time, yet He is ONE God! The invisible omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God came to earth in flesh (John 1:14) and was in heaven at the same time! (John 3:13) This must be true as Jesus mentioned the (John 14:10) There was not a Father in heaven and ANOTHER Father on the "Father dwelleth in me" . . . "Father in heaven" and then said that, Have we not all ONE Father? (Mal. 2:10) The same God (Father) that filled the high heavens was at the SAME time in "flesh form" among men! He did not take upon Himself the nature of an angel but He came in the seed of Abraham (Heb. 2:16). We must also remember that te prophet Isaiah said that Jesus would be called the "Everlasting Father" (Isa. 9:6). There isn't a person in the world able to cover up and bypass this plain and simple passage teaching Jesus to be "The Mighty God and Everlasting Father". . .
When God said, "Let us" in Genesis 1:26. He certainly wasn't speaking to other persons in the Godhead because He said He made the world "alone and by myself". . . (Isa. 44:24). Do you believe there were others present? As for me, I believe He is a God of truth and cannot lie!
God said, "I am the first, and I am the last". . . Jesus said, "I am the first and the last" (Rev 1:17) If they are separate and distinct as the Trinity people believe, How can BOTH be first and last?
Jesus gave every reason for a person to accept Him as the Father in the following verses: Philip said, Lord, show us the Father, . . . Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou the, Shew us the Father. (John 14:8-9) How could language be any stronger? "He that hath seen ME hath SEEN the Father!" Jesus is the IMAGE of the INVISIBLE God (Col. 1:15) and He said, "And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me." (John 12:44-45) Never does the Bible say Holy two or Holy Three! It is always "Holy One" . . . (Isa. 43:3) Jesus was God manifest in the flesh (1st Tim. 3:16 - Isa. 40:3).
Jesus spake from TWO standpoints! He spoke as man and He spoke as God. For example He as man said "I thirst" and as God he offered the "living water." As man (flesh and blood) He prayed and sweat as if it were great drops of blood; as God He gave answer to His own prayer! He answered un-ask questions and FORGAVE SINS that ONLY God can do! In Jesus dwells not one third but ALL the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Col 2:8-10) As human His knowledge was limited (Mark 13:32) but as God we read where Peter said, "Lord thou knowest all things" . . . (John 21:17). May our God help you to see that He said, "I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:" (Isa. 45:5) and that He only has ONE saving name is this age and this name is Jesus. (Acts 4:12 - Zec. 14:9)
