IS THERE A GOD BESIDE ME? ISA. 44:8

The subject of our message today are the words of Jehovah Himself in the form of a question. For an answer to the question we ask you to take down your Bible and turn to Isaiah chapter Forty four and look at verse eight. In this verse we hear God who cannot lie saying, "Yea, there is no God; I know not any."

In quoting the above verse and others that say there is no God beside the one true God of the Bible: we sometime hear men say that the word GOD used in such terms mean idol gods and images such as Dagon (1st Sam. 5). We will agree that any thing called God except the true and Mighty Saviour would certainly mean a false and evil imagination ... but, these ,strong verses that say there is no GOD before or after me, etc . . . also mean that there are no persons connected with this true and Solitary one! We of course refer to what men call the holy Trinity such as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost in three separate persons. This is not so! The one eternal God of heaven is the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Isa. 9:6) and He is known, in this age as the Lord Jesus Christ. When you see Jesus, you see the Father (John 14:6-9) for in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily (Col. 2:9).

Some will ask, "What difference does it make if we believe there be one, two, or three?" The difference is what the word of God does or doesn't teach! It just pays in a thousand ways to know the truth about any Bible subject. One error will lead to another and so on ... To teach the false doctrine of the trinity is to teach water Baptism in the trinity formula. To baptize in the trinity formula is to overlook the ONE AND ONLY saving Name (Acts 4:12) and falsely lead innocent men and women into a vain recognition of three persons in the Godhead of which the Bible does not teach! To baptize in a trinity formula (Father, Son and Holy Ghost) is to fail to teach men that the NAME is JESUS! To baptize in the trinity formula is to teach men that the remission of sins is found in TITLES and not in the Name of Jesus Christ as taught by the apostle Peter. Acts 2:38) To teach the trinity and the trinity formula of baptism is to refuse the example laid down by the apostles of our Lord and to practice a formula that was never used by the true Church of Jesus Christ. (Acts 8:16-Acts 19:5.)

Some men can preach three Gods and shout what they say is victory! The record says the devils tremble because they know there is ONE GOD(Jas.2:19) Jehovah said, I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. (Isa. 43:15) How many persons are mentioned here? Over and over(over 50 times) the Bible says "Holy One" but never, never (not one single place) does the Bible ever say "Holy two or Holy three." What is wrong? The truth is, There isn't a thing wrong!! There is a HOLY ONE and there isn't a HOLY TWO OR HOLY THREE! We aren't guessing, we know that our loving Jesus is the true and Mighty God. The Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King, came to earth 1900 years ago in the form of man. (Mat. 1:23) Behold Him, the Lord of lords and King of kings . . . (1st Tim. 6:15).

God said, Bring forth the blind people that have eyes and the deaf that have ears . . . let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. (Isa 43:8-9) Yes, we call for the honest hear to lay aside man made traditions examine the Bible for truth! If the word "trinity" is not in the Bible, Doesn't this alone give grounds for alarm? If the Bible doesn't produce ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE where any person was ever baptized in the TRINITY FORMULA, Doesn't this give occasion to wonder and be alarmed? The verses above say, "bring forth their witness, that they may be Justified or say IT IS TRUTH." What are you going to do?

We believe Jesus is the FATHER for one simple reason . . . The BIBLE says so! (Isa. 9:6) Who would like to dispute it? We believe Jesus is GOD for one simple reason . . . The Bible says so! (John 20:28) Who would like to dispute it? We believe that the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Jesus for one simple reason . . . The Bible says so (lst. Pet. 1:11-12) Who would like to dispute it? We have just given ONE verse in each of the above proposals but there are many more and many people reading this message know it to be true. God Himself is searching for honest hearts that will lay aside the tradition of men and accept, the plain and simple teachings of the scriptures concerning Jesus and His plan.

The correct interpretation of Mat. 28:19 is most important in order to see water baptism in Jesus' Name. Open your Bible and examine this passage humbly and honestly . . . Did Jesus mean for the apostles to REPEAT the words Father, Son and Holy Ghost as our trinity friends do; or did He mean for them to OBEY the command? The command is to BAPTIZE IN THE NAME . . . WHAT IS THE NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost? We KNOW the NAME is JESUS! The strongest reason I can give you to prove that the name is JESUS is to cite you as to how the apostles baptized! They baptized in the name of JESUS . . . (Acts 2:38-Acts 8:18- Acts 19:5). Now, let me make a challenge! I challenge every trinity person that breathes today to give ONE verse in the Bible where any person was ever baptized in the trinity formula! This challenge isn't made to be making a show . . . I am simply trying my best to get YOU to SEE that the name of Jesus is above every Name and we are to do all in His Name. (Col. 3:17) The Bible surely holds the answer and if we can get you to read with an open heart, you will see the truth as taught by the apostles and Jesus Himself.

The doctrine of God in Christ is not a new doctrine as some of our enemies would have you believe. It is the oldest teaching in the entire Bible! God is from everlasting to everlasting and He is the self-existing one. He is a Spirit (John 4:24) and fills every nook and comer of heaven above all the secret parts of the earth and space. He made the heavens and the earth alone and by Himself . . . (Isa. 44:24). This great and Mighty one came to earth in flesh (Son) many years ago (1st Tim. 3:16 - 1st John 3:16). He became MAN but remained God! While among men he was a perfect man and as man died on the cross of shame that men might he saved. While among men He was the perfect example for us to follow as He took not on the nature of angels but the seed of Abraham. (Heb. 2:16).

Why would it be hard for YOU to believe that JESUS is the Father, Son and Holy Ghost? Can't you see by this short message that the scriptures place Him in this position? Is it man or God that says Jesus is the second person? Is it man or God that says that Jesus is the Father and God? Is it man or God that says the apostles did not baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus? Search the Bible for these hidden truths and remember that you will face the truth in judgement.
