A STUDY OF THE BEAST

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36

Jesus told us of a time of tribulation "as was not since the beginning of the world to this time,"--He tells us further that for the "elect's sake" those days shall be shortened (Mat.24:21-22) We use this scripture to prove that the church will be here in at least a part of the tribulation in which the Beast will be in power. To further prove this we invite you to notice carefully the words of Paul as he tells us--"that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, AND THAT MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED, THE SON OF PERDITION; (2^ND Thes. 2:3) - A study of this verse will prove that when Paul said "that day shall not come"-- he was speaking of the coming of Jesus to gather the church unto him. (See verse 1) I will say that Jesus will take the church "out of" this tribulation and we will as the text suggests be able to escape much of the greater part of the evil to come upon an ungodly world. However,. I must warn you that the church will taste and feel much oppression as a result of this evil!

We must understand that the spirit of the beast and much of his doctrine is loose in the world RIGHT NOW! When Paul described this man of sin he also explained that "the mystery of iniquity doth already work" (2^nd. Thes. 2:7) In other words Paul was saying, He is already here but not REVEALED! Just as sure as you are reading this message today, the man of sin is SOON to be REVEALED! (The word reveal means: To disclose or uncover, to unveil) Yes, the Beast is soon to be uncovered or unveiled! John speaks of the antichrist that shall come and then he says, even now there are many antichrists" --- (1st. John2:18) He is without doubt here speaking of the doctrines of the antichrist--Don't forget this, The POWER behind this evil doctrines is to be REVEALED before we are gathered unto Jesus.

Don't be deceived, the BEAST is a man! John said, "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a MAN; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." (Rev.13:18) The Beast is a KING -.- Daniel said, a KING of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up." (Dan.8:23) This Beast will be a great ruler! He will have power "over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations (Rev13:7) This "superman" will control every function of the government and will also "take away the daily sacrifice" (Dan.8:11). He will make war WITH THE SAINTS and blaspheme the name of God (Jesus). (Rev. 13:6-7) I am giving the above scripture to prove that the "man of sin" will attack our freedom of worship as we know it today. You might also notice that this verse says, "he will make war with the saints" If the church is in the air at this time as so many teach----How could the Beast make war with someone that isn't here?

Yes; I am aware that many will tell you that the "saints" mentioned above are "tribulation saints" and not the church. Let us notice where John speaks of those under the altar that were slain for the word of God,----(Rev.6:9) Who were these souls? Without doubt they are the saints of the early church who were killed by the Roman power! Now notice that they cried out saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? The Lord told them, that they should rest yet for a little season, UNTIL THEIR FELLOWSERVANTS ALSO AND THEIR BRETHREN, THAT SHOULD BE KILLED AS THEY WERE SHOULD BE FULFILLED. (Rev.6:10-11) Rest assured my friends that others will be killed for the sake of the gospel! Is Jesus under any obligation to SPARE us from things that he didn't spare Paul, Peter, John and thousands of others before us?

John says the I Beast will "overcome the saints" -- (Rev 13:7:) Daniel said, he "made war with the saints, and prevailed against them (Dan. 7:21) This doesn't mean that God's people will be defeated! This doesn't mean that we will throw up our hands and surrender and compromise! This simply means that many of our rights as we know them today will be taken from us and stes will be taken to force us to surrender truths that we know to be right! This doesn't mean that ALL will be
killed by any means! It will be a time of horror and trouble such as the world has never known. John tells us that "all" that dwell upon the earth shall worship him with the exception of a certain group---The ones whose "names are in the book of life" will not worship the Beast nor any of his power. (Rev.13:8)

Daniel said he would "come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries -- (Dan.11:21) He will think to change "times and laws"--(Dan.7:25) He will not "regard the God of his fathers" (Dan.11:37) but he will honor the God of forces"-- (Dan.11:38)He will come with "all power and signs and lying wonders"-- (2nd Thes. 2:9) The false prophet (religion) with him will work miracles--(Rev.19:20-Rev.13:14) --- No man will be able to buy or sell unless they receive his mark -- (Rev.13:16-17) There will be a people who will GET THE VICTORY OVER THE BEAST -- (Rev.15:2)
